The Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2024 Annual Report has been published today, highlighting the progress made since the Strategy was launched in September 2023.

The 2024 Annual Report is the first report that highlights progress made in 2023 and 2024, with some notable developments. For more about these, please read gov.gg/mental-health-wellbeing-strategy-2024

The full report and the Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy (2023-2029) can be accessed via: gov.gg/mentalhealthwellbeingstrategy

From the gov.gg website: The Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy 2023-2029 (the Strategy) builds on established work with the private and charitable sector to improve working relationships, understanding of current mental health systems and patient experience. It does this by formally bringing together work across many departments of the States of Guernsey and other organisations and people with lived experience to collate data, identify service gaps and improve access to services. The key to this Strategy is improving communication between service providers, particularly during times of transition.

The Strategy has identified four pillars of work for 2023-2029 to meet the Strategy's objectives:

  • Pillar 1: Understanding and collating Bailiwick data sets

  • Pillar 2: Awareness, access and early intervention

  • Pillar 3: Service Improvements

  • Pillar 4: Responding to recommendations of external reviews
